‘Hove, actually’ is a humorous and well-known local phrase used by residents of Hove, UK, to assert their town's distinct identity from its larger neighbour, Brighton, often responding to the question, "Do you live in Brighton?" with a polite, slightly snobbish correction, a tradition supposedly started by actor Laurence Olivier.
